Jay-Z, Rihanna & Kanye win Two 2010 Grammys for “Run This Town”

The little boy on Rihanna's right is Jay-Z's nephew Juelz, whom joined the stage as Rihanna and Jay-Z gave an acceptance speech.

Congratulations are in order for Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West on 2 Grammy wins for their chart-topping hit “Run This Town”: Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song (January 31).** Jay-Z and Rihanna accepted the former award on behalf of the trio and thanked each other, their producers, and the fans and for appreciating the single.

Kanye West was banned from the Grammy Awards after he drunkenly interuppted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. West has since apologized and has taken a musical hiatus.

The Roc-A-Fella trio were up against 4 other hit collaborations, 2 including the controversial Kanye West: “Ego” by Beyoncé and West; “Knock You Down” by Keri Hilson, Ne-Yo and West; “I’m On a Boat” by The Lonely Island and T-Pain; and “Dead & Gone” by T.I. and Justin Timberlake.***

Beyoncé to join celebrity-filled “Hope for Haiti” telethon

Ten-time 2010 Grammy nominee Beyoncé Knowles has joined the long list of celebrities partaking in the multi-network “Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief” telethon. The event will be held on Friday, January 22, at 8 p.m. and will air on MTV, BET, VH1, ABC, NBC, CW, Fox, CNN, Comedy Central, Oxygen, National Geographic, E!, Bravo, HBO, TNT, Showtime and other related networks.** The telethon will be hosted by George Clooney and will air commercial free.

Performances throughout the telethon include Beyoncé, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Bruce Springsteen, Shakira, Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Dave Matthews, Coldplay, Kid Rock, Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, Bono, Edge, and Wyclef Jean.***

All proceeds will go to Haiti relief organizations, including the American Red Cross and Wyclef Jean’s Yéle Haiti Foundation.

According to, “All performances will be available for purchase for $.99 per song through the iTunes beginning Saturday, Jan. 23, with all proceeds benefiting Haiti relief funds managed by “Hope for Haiti Now” charities.”***

Rihanna scores at Jay-Z’s Benefit Concert

One of Jay-Z’s highly anticipated guests at his September 11 benefit performance was Rihanna.

The pop star sung her wildly popular collaboration, “Run This Town,” with Jay-Z and Kanye West, while donning a black, long sleeve body-all with artificial bullets around the waist.

“Answer the Call” took place on September 11 in Madison Square Garden and provided aid to victims of the September 11 attacks.
