Chris Brown does well with probation sentence

February 19, 2010

Praises awaited Chris Brown as he entered the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday (February 18).

According to CNN.com, Judge Patricia Schnegg noted that Brown was “doing really, really well” in regards to his sentence for pleading guilty in the Rihanna abuse case. Schnegg said that Brown is accurately fulfilling his “labor-oriented service” and that he is greatly participating in scheduled counseling.

Brown received 5 years probation and must commit to 6 months of community service, which must be served in his native state of Virginia. The sentence also included a “stay-away order,” by which Brown must remain at least 50 yards from his former flame (10 yards at music events) for the next 5 years (See a related article HERE).

Of his sentence, Brown has attended 17 out of 52 domestic abuse classes and served one-sixth of his community service duties.

In exclusive documentation obtained by CNN.com, police reported that Brown left the vehicle as Rihanna pleaded for help, amidst their infamous physical fallout in February 2009. The website reports: Robyn F. [Rihanna’s legal name; “F.” stands for Fenty] began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.’s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a domestic violence emergency protective order.

Brown’s next scheduled court appearance is May 11.
